Since having Sunny I mostly listen to audiobooks. In some ways with having a baby I'm busier than ever. In others, with the transition from full to part time work, my time has become more my own. I'm finding moments to create space for some of the personal things that matter to me, and reading is high up on the list. I love the quiet moments during the week that it's just me, her and often an audiobook.

* 10 of my favorites are in bold *

  1. Botanical Folk Tales of Britain and Ireland

  2. Modern Miss Mason

  3. The Nightingale

    1. I wouldn't suggest reading this right after having a baby. A little too heavy for me, but I flew through it and it received a 5 star rating from everyone in our book club.

  4. American Royals

    1. The fluffy book I needed after the Nightingale

  5. Limitless Mind

  6. The Other Einstein

  7. Bridge to Terabithia

  8. The Midnight Library

  9. Seabiscuit: An American Legend

  10. Hamnet

  11. The Aviator's Wife

  12. Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind

  13. Carnegie's Maid

  14. Gift from the Sea

  23. Lessons in Chemistry

  24. Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing

  26. Atlas of the Heart: Mapping Meaningful Connection and the Language of Human Experience

  27. Think Again: The Power of Knowing What you Don't Know

  28. Empire of Pain: The Secret History of the Sackler Dynasty

  29. Girl With No Job

    1. We read this for book club, and it was hard for me to get through. The general consensus: if you're a fan of hers, you'll love the book. If you have no idea who she is, you won't.

  37. Mere Christianity

  38. Remarkably Bright Creatures

  39. All the Light We Cannot See

  40. Bad Vibes Only: (And Other Things I Bring to the Table)

    1. Every time I read a heavier book, it's helpful for to combat it with something a little lighter. This was perfect for that.

  50. Untamed

I've just started reading The Lovely War and so far so good. I'd love to hear what books you've loved this year!
