Since having Sunny I mostly listen to audiobooks. In some ways with having a baby I'm busier than ever. In others, with the transition from full to part time work, my time has become more my own. I'm finding moments to create space for some of the personal things that matter to me, and reading is high up on the list. I love the quiet moments during the week that it's just me, her and often an audiobook.

* 10 of my favorites are in bold *
I wouldn't suggest reading this right after having a baby. A little too heavy for me, but I flew through it and it received a 5 star rating from everyone in our book club.
The fluffy book I needed after the Nightingale
Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing
I met Matthew Perry when I worked as a hostess/waitress at Sundance. He asked to use my phone. A very big deal for my 20 year old self.
Atlas of the Heart: Mapping Meaningful Connection and the Language of Human Experience
We read this for book club, and it was hard for me to get through. The general consensus: if you're a fan of hers, you'll love the book. If you have no idea who she is, you won't.
Atomic Habits: An Easy and Proven Way to Build Good Habits and Break Bad Ones
I reread this one, and it was just as good the second time
Birdgirl: Looking to the Skies in Search of a Better Future
The audio version of this was so pleasant
Bad Vibes Only: (And Other Things I Bring to the Table)
Every time I read a heavier book, it's helpful for to combat it with something a little lighter. This was perfect for that.
What Happened To You? Conversations of Trauma, Resilience and Healing
The In-Between: Unforgettable Encounters During Life's Final Moments
I couldn't put this book down. Powerful and emotional.
I've just started reading The Lovely War and so far so good. I'd love to hear what books you've loved this year!
