Inspired by a memoir I recently finished, Bird Girl I'm feeling motivated to start our own family birding list. When we were in South Africa driving through Kruger National Park, we felt our first pull towards birding. We were only able identify a small handful since it wasn't until our last day that we really took interest in tracking what we'd seen. I plan to add to this currently very small list of birds. We already have plans to go to our local bird preserve this weekend. I'll be adding everything we've seen out in nature, with no bird being too common to include.
